Parama Ekadashi
Parama Ekadashi in June is a very rare and highly auspicious day, observed once in every three years, in Adhika Maas (the extra leap month). Dedicated to Lord Vishnu, this fast is believed to wash away all the sins, overcome poverty, and grant spiritual liberation.
According to Vedic scriptures, on this day, the Lord helped a Brahmin named Sumana, who observed this sacred Vrat despite several challenges. Seeing his devotion, Lord Vishnu granted him Vaikuntha. Also known as “Purushottam Kamala Ekadashi”, this vrat holds great significance in Sanatan Dharma.
Nirjala Ekadashi
Nirjala Ekadashi is considered the most meritorious of the 24 Ekadashis. Fully devoted to Lord Vishnu, this sacred fast falls in the month of Jyestha between May and June.
On this day, devotees refrain from all food and fluids for 24 hours straight to attain the merit of this auspicious day and to seek spiritual blessings. Also called Pandava or Bhimsen Ekadashi, this sacred June Ekadashi fast was advised by Sage Vyasa to Bhima so he could earn the blessings of all the yearly fasts combined through this one vrat.
