Kamika Ekadashi
Kamika Gyaras is revered as a highly auspicious Hindu fasting day, falling on the waning moon phase (Krishna Paksha) in the holy month of Shravan. By observing this August Ekadashi, devotees can cleanse their past sins and attain inner peace and spiritual liberation.
As per the ancient Puranas, a landlord accidentally killed a Brahmin in anger. Sage Narada then advised him to observe the fast of Kamika Ekadashi, which helped him become free from his sins and the curse through the blessings of Lord Vishnu.
Shravana Putrada Ekadashi
Shravana Putrada Ekadashi, also known as Pavitropana, Pavitra, and Putrika Ekadashi, is one of the most sacred among the 24 Ekadashis. It falls on the 11th lunar day of the waxing moon in the month of Shravana.
This August Ekadashi is believed to bless couples with virtuous children and wash away past sins. The Pavitropana Ekadashi vrat was first observed by King Mahijit, a childless and virtuous king who was advised by Sage Lomesh. Through his sincere devotion and the blessings of Lord Vishnu, his wife conceived a brilliant son.
