Sajani Ko Kahe Kama Ananga
Bhajan | Govinda Dasa Kaviraja
Verse 1

keli kadamba tale so rati-nayaka
pekhalu nata-bhara-bhanga
Verse 2
cudaka cuda mayura-sikhandaka
mandita malati-maleee
saurabha unamata bhramari bheramara kata
caudike karata jhankare
Verse 3
katahu bisama sara nayana tuna bhara
sancaru bhana kamane
nagari nari marama maha hana-i
lekha-i na para-i ane
Verse 4
sruti-mule cancala manimaya kundala
dolata makara-akara
gobinda-dasa ataye anumanala
madana-mohana abatara
Verse 1
O friend, who says Kama is bodiless? Beneath the kadamba tree I saw that hero of amorous delight standing in his graceful, three-fold bending pose.
Verse 2
Crowning his crown is a peacock feather; he is adorned with a garland of malati blossoms. Intoxicated by its fragrance, swarms of bees hum all around him.
Verse 3
Somewhere his eyes are like a quiver laden with terrible arrows; Kama's darting shafts fly out and strike deep into the heroine's heart — it cannot be described to anyone else.
Verse 4
At the roots of his ears, restless jeweled earrings shaped like makaras swing to and fro. Thus Govinda dasa concludes with certainty: he is the very incarnation of Madana-mohana, the enchanter of Cupid himself.
