Sajani Aba Ki Korobi Upadesa
Bhajan | Govinda Dasa Kaviraja
Verse 1
sajani aba ki karabi upadesa
kanu anurage mora tanu mana batula
na sahe dharama-bhara-lesa
Verse 2
rupe bharata dithin sonari parasa mithi
pulaka na teja-i anga
mohana murali-bare sruti paripurita
na sune apana parasanga
Verse 3
nasika se angera saurabha unamata
badane nana laya ana nama
naba naba guna-gane bandhala majhu mane
dharama rahaba kon thama
Verse 4
grha-pati tarajane guru-jana garajane
ko jane upajaye hasa
tahi eka manoratha yadi haye anurata
puchata gobinda-dasa
Verse 1
O friend, what advice can you give me now? Through love for Kanu my body and mind have gone mad; I can no longer bear even a trace of the burden of propriety.
Verse 2
My eyes are filled with His beauty, His golden touch so sweet; the hairs of my body will not let go of their thrill; my ears are filled with the enchanting sound of His flute; I no longer hear talk of my own affairs.
Verse 3
My nose is intoxicated by the fragrance of His body; my mouth utters no other name; His ever-fresh qualities have bound my mind -- where, then, is there room left for propriety?
Verse 4
At my husband's rebukes and my elders' scolding, who knows why laughter rises in me instead of fear? If this is my one desire, to remain devoted to Him, then ask Govinda Dasa about it.
