In the history of Gaudiya Vaishnava followers, the Harinam Sankirtan has been carried forward by the disciples of Lord Shri Chaitanaya Mahaprabhu. Among them, Sri Rasikananda Prabhu stands out as a beacon of spreading the holy names of Lord Krishna.
In the seventeenth century, He spread the teachings of Lord Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu in Odisha and Bengal. During this, he was himself following the teachings of his spiritual master and performing Harinam Sankirtan every day.
The appearance of Shri Rasikananda is observed to honour his complete surrender towards Lord Krishna. He is an example to know how to sincerely devote to the Lord and follow the instructions of a spiritual master.
Who is Sri Rasikananda Prabhu?

Shri Rasikananda Prabhu, or Rasikananda Goswami, or Rasikananda Murari was a sincere disciple of Sri Shyamananda Prabhu. Whoever comes to listen to him gets attracted by his deep devotion.
Sri Shyamananda Prabhu was a sincere disciple of Śrī Hridaya Chaitanya, who was a disciple of one of the Six Goswamis of Vrindavan. The Six Goswamis of Vrindavan were the most sincere disciples of Lord Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.
After the departure of Lord Chaitanaya Mahaprabhu, Shri Rasikananda Prabhu became one of the great Vaishnava ācāryas in the Gaudiya Vaishnava tradition. His devotion was so powerful that he managed to transformed many non-devoted hearts to the devotion of Lord Krishna.
The path he was following was not easy. He faced much opposition during his preachings and Kirtan from the non-followers of the Vaishnava tradition. But he was so determined to pursue his spiritual master that he kept moving forward.
The Appearance and Early Life of Sri Rasikananda
