piriti murati adhideba
yakara darasane saba dukha mitala
so-i apane kara seba
Verse 2
adare agu-sari ra-i hrdaye dhari
janu upare puna rakhi
nija kara-kamale nayana-yuga mucha-i
hera-i cira thira ańkhi
Verse 3
himakara sitala nirahi titala
kara-tale maja-i mukha
sa-jala nalini-dale mrdu mrdu bija-i
pucha-i pantha ki dukha
Verse 4
ańguli cibuka dhari badane tambula puri
madhura sambhasa-i kana
gobinda-dasa bhana niti naba nutana
ra-ika amiya sinana
Verse 1
The very embodiment of love, the presiding deity of love, at whose sight all sorrow is dispelled — she herself renders service to him.
Verse 2
With affection, going to him, Radha holds him to her heart, then lays him upon her lap; with her own lotus-hand she wipes his eyes, and gazes at him with steady, unmoving eyes.
Verse 3
Cool as the moon, wet with water, she wipes his face gently in the palm of her hand; with a water-soaked lotus leaf she softly fans him, asking, "What suffering did you meet on the path?"
Verse 4
Holding his chin with her fingers, placing betel in his mouth, she speaks sweetly into his ear; Govinda Dasa says, ever new, day by day, is Radha's nectar-bath of loving service.
