dekha rādhā-mādhava meli
mūrati madana rasa-keli
Verse 2
o naba jaladhara ańga
iha thira bijurī-tarańga

o bara marakata ṭhāma
iha kāñcana daśabāṇa

o matta madhukara-rāja
iha nava padiminī sāja
Verse 5
o nava taruṇa tamāla
iha hema yūthī rasāla

aruṇa niyaḍe puna canda
govinda-dāsa rahu dhandha

Behold Radha and Madhava united -- their very forms are the embodiment of Cupid's playful mellow.

His body is like a fresh raincloud; hers, a flash of steady lightning rippling beside it.
Verse 3
His form is a column of fine emerald; hers, a golden image struck by Cupid's ten arrows.
Verse 4
He is the intoxicated king of bees; she, a freshly blossomed lotus adorned for him.
Verse 5
He is a young, fresh tamala tree; she, a golden jasmine vine, sweet with nectar, entwined about him.

Near the red dawn glow shines the moon once more -- Govinda Dasa remains lost in wonder at this sight.
