ancare mukha-sasi goya
jhara jhara locana roya

karana binu ksane hasa-i
utapata dirgha nisasa-i

suna suna sundara syama
premaka iha parinama

tatala tanu nahi tuta-i
satata mahi-tale lutha-i
Verse 5
kahuka kachu nahi kaha-i
ko achu bedana saha-i
Verse 6
jagabhari kulabati bada
ka de-i kara-i sambada

gobinda-dasa asoyase
jiba-i tuya abhilase
Verse 1
She hides her moon-like face in the corner of her veil; tears flow ceaselessly from her eyes.
Verse 2
Without any reason she suddenly laughs, then heaves long, anguished sighs.
Verse 3
Listen, listen, beautiful dark one -- this is what love has come to.
Verse 4
Her burning body finds no relief; she rolls constantly upon the ground.
Verse 5
She says nothing at all to anyone; who else could bear such pain?
Verse 6
She is the greatest of the chaste, well-born women of this world; who dares even to send her a message?
Verse 7
Govinda Dasa says: in this hopeless state, she lives only on the hope of you.
