Charan Mandir, also known as Shri Krishna Charan Mandir, is a small but deeply revered temple located in the Nahargarh hill region of Jaipur. The temple is associated with the worship of Lord Krishna’s sacred footprints, which gives the shrine its name. Surrounded by the Aravalli hills and forest paths, it is also a known point for trekking, sunrise views, and peaceful meditation.
Charan Mandir is considered an old Krishna shrine connected with Amber’s royal period. Local tradition says Raja Man Singh I, a devotee of Lord Krishna, built the temple after a divine dream revealed the sacred footprints in the forest region. The temple predates modern Jaipur and remains valued for its devotional and heritage importance.
