Verse 1
The sound of the flute, auspicious for Gokula, roars out toward the forest, a sound proclaiming the very command of Cupid, the king of desire.
Verse 2
"Why do you create this hindrance here, uselessly, under the pretext of adorning my limbs? I am not able, right now, to bear even a moment's further delay of this appointed hour."
Verse 3
"Here rises the glow of Madhava's toenail, cool as the moon itself — do not keep repeating your fear of the elders again and again; she has become one whose longing now runs swiftly toward him."
Verse 4
"Behold — to serve that eternal lord who moves so swiftly through this great forest, this whole company of cowherd women now approaches the bank of the sun-god's daughter."
