Verse 1
In a cave of the great mountain, the beautiful dark one stands, his shoulders adorned with a pearl necklace, his gait incomparable, like that of a royal elephant.
Verse 2
In a forest grove of flowering trees, within a jeweled pavilion, he, the mind-enchanting king of dancers, waits eagerly for the playful art of the rasa dance.
Verse 3
Skilled in manifold, clever amusements, he softly makes his flute speak, and the elephant-gaited, lovely women go to him, the knots of their garments coming loose in their haste.
Verse 4
His reddish lotus feet are marked by the tender bangles slipped from loving women's hands; sought after like a honeybee seeking the flowers of spring — so Govinda Dasa tells.
