History & About
Sri Sri Krishna Balaram Mandir, popularly known as ISKCON Vrindavan, stands in the sacred Raman Reti area of Vrindavan. Built under Srila Prabhupada’s guidance, the temple welcomes devotees from around the world for darshan, kirtan, spiritual learning, and prasadam. Its main altars worship Sri Sri Krishna Balaram, Sri Sri Radha Shyamasundar with Lalita Devi and Vishakha Devi, and Sri Sri Gaura Nitai.
Srila Prabhupada personally guided the construction of Sri Sri Krishna Balaram Mandir in Vrindavan. The temple was inaugurated on Ram Navami in 1975, fulfilling his desire to establish Krishna-Balaram worship in the land where They performed Their childhood pastimes. Since then, ISKCON Vrindavan has remained a major centre for Gaudiya Vaishnav devotion, daily kirtan, and international pilgrimage.
