Our Architecture: Gupt Vrindavan Dham - A Fusion of Devotion and Design

Welcome to the Hare Krishna Cultural Centre, affectionately known as Gupt Vrindavan Dham, an architectural marvel rising in the heart of Jaipur. Conceived in the neo-classical style, our temple complex beautifully marries traditional South Indian aesthetics with modern design elements, creating a unique and awe-inspiring space.

Architectural Vision: A Tapestry of Influences

HG Amitasana Das (President of HKM Jaipur & Mumbai) and HG Shyam Sundar Das, the driving forces behind this project, have envisioned a structure that embodies the spirit of devotion and reflects India's rich architectural heritage.

  • Neo-Classical Elegance: The temple seamlessly blends traditional and modern elements, creating a timeless appeal. This approach ensures that the structure resonates with both ancient traditions and contemporary aesthetics.
  • Echoes of Rajasthan: The design thoughtfully integrates elements of Rajasthani architecture, most prominently the "Kaman Chhatri" that will crown the Shikhar (peak). This traditional dome-like structure, a hallmark of Rajasthan's architectural landscape, adds a distinct local flavour. The extensive use of glass on the walls, on the other hand, infuses the design with modern sophistication.
  • South Indian Inspiration: Drawing from the rich tradition of South Indian temple architecture, the complex features intricate details and soaring structures, evoking a sense of awe and reverence. This inclusion speaks to the diverse cultural influences that shape the architectural narrative of Gupt Vrindavan Dham.

Grandeur in Scale: Rajasthan's Largest Temple

Upon completion in 2027, coinciding with Jaipur's 300th anniversary, Gupt Vrindavan Dham is poised to become the largest temple in Rajasthan. Spanning an impressive 6 acres and rising 17 storeys high, the complex embodies the grand vision and dedication of the Hare Krishna Movement Jaipur.

A Journey Through the Complex: Spaces for Devotion and Community

Gupt Vrindavan Dham is more than just a visual spectacle; it is designed to be a space for spiritual immersion and community engagement.

  • Six Grand Entrances: Each entrance is a testament to architectural brilliance and symbolism:
    • Mayur Dwar (Peacock Gate): nspired by the temples of Dwarka, this main entrance will be decorated with 108 peacock motifs, representing beauty and auspiciousness.
    • Hansa Dwar (Swan Gate): The second main entrance, a symbol of purity and grace, further adds to the grandeur of the complex.
    • Directional Gates: Inspired by the Jagannath Puri Temple, these four gates – Singh Dwar, Vyaghra Dwar, Hasti Dwar, and Ashwa Dwar – represent the lion, tiger, elephant, and horse respectively, symbolizing the cardinal directions.
  • Parikrama Marg (Circumambulatory Path): This dedicated path enables devotees to engage in the devotional practice of circumambulating the temple, promoting a meditative experience.
  • Vast Hall for Darshan: A central hall capable of accommodating thousands of devotees will serve as a place for collective worship and darshan (darshan of the deities), thereby fostering a sense of unity and spiritual connection.

Multi-Level Structure: A Blend of Functionality and Spirituality

The 17-storey structure is thoughtfully designed to cater to diverse needs and purposes:

  • Underground Parking: Provides convenient and ample parking for visitors.
  • Ground Floor: Dedicated to community spaces, including a convention hall, dining facilities and an Annadan Hall (for food distribution).
  • First Floor: It features a Gita exhibition, a Srila Prabhupada exhibition and a captivating “Hidden Vrindavan” exhibition that will bring the story of Gupt Vrindavan to life through 3D art and animation. Educational spaces and theaters further enrich this level.
  • Second, Third, and Fourth Floors: These floors have been integrated to form a grand temple, which houses the magnificent deties of Krishna-Balaram, Radha-Shyamasundara and Gaura-Nitai. An additional education room is also located on this level.
  • Fifth Floor: It has a sattvik restaurant, which serves complete vegetarian cuisine.
  • Krishna Leela Expo and Harinam Mandap: A space dedicated to showcasing the life and teachings of Lord Krishna through exhibitions and devotional gatherings.

Open Spaces for Community and Reflection

Beyond the grandeur of the temple structure, the complex provides serene open spaces:

  • Open Amphitheatre: Envisioned as a vibrant venue to host festivals, concerts and cultural events, fostering a vibrant community atmosphere.
  • Lush Green Gardens: The serene gardens surrounding the campus provide a peaceful environment for reflection, meditation and connection with nature.
