This Kartik Krishna Ekadashi is named after Srimati RadhaRani, the internal potency of Lord Krishna. Observing this Ekadashi brings both of the divine blessings into one's life.
In the Vaishnava calendar, it is the most auspicious day to strengthen one's devotional practices. Devotees believe that even if one is a non-devotee and observes this day sincerely, they get peace, prosperity, and a golden opportunity to serve the Supreme Lord.
Rama Ekadashi Vrat Katha

Every Ekadashi has some unique story to tell. Rama Ekadashi vrat katha is narrated by Lord Shri Krishna to Yudhishthira in the text of Padma Purana.
The Story:
Once, there was a king named Muchukunda, who was an ally of Indra, Varuna, and Yamaraja. He was a well-known righteous king who always stayed on the path of dharma.Â
Among all of his leaders who worked under his direction, one leader named Chanchala was very sinful and evil by nature. He has never used his wealth to help anyone.Â
He spent his entire life only enjoying worldly pleasures. After his death, he was dragged to the land of hell by Yamaraja.
His suffering appeared in her wife's dream. She was extremely shocked and worried about her husband's afterlife conditions.Â
She then reached a sage and asked him to show her the right path to solve this problem. He advised her to observe the Rama Ekadashi fast.
As the sage suggested to her the ways to observe the vrat, she sincerely followed it. As a result, her husband, Chanchala's soul, was released from all the sufferings.
