Verse 1
The remembrance of Sri Gauranga Mahaprabhu's lotus feet — which even Sesa and other exalted beings can approach only through service, and which He in turn grants to His own devotees so that others may attain it as well — is that meditation which the saintly should always cultivate. I glorify, day by day, the pastimes of Him who appeared in glorious Navadvipa.
Verse 2
He who rises from His bed at the end of night and shines forth having bathed in the celestial river at dawn; who sports with His companions in a garden in the morning and shines with them at midday; who moves through the town in the afternoon, returns to His own house in the evening, remains in the courtyard at dusk, and at nightfall dwells through the night in Srivasa's house — may that Gaura protect us.
Verse 3
He who, at the end of night, rises from His bed on hearing the calls of the cuckoo, the cock and other birds; who converses sweetly with Sri Visnupriya and brings her joy; who then goes elsewhere, sits before a mirror, washes His face with clean water, and, greatly delighted, is beheld by His mother and other elders — upon that Gaura I meditate.
Verse 4
He who, in the morning, bathes in the celestial river surrounded by His associates, worships it with flowers and other offerings, then dons fine garments and is adorned with garlands and sandalwood paste; who, together with His associates, performs the worship of Lord Visnu and other rites, eats, rinses His mouth, and rests happily for a while in another's house — upon that Gaura I meditate.
Verse 5
He who, having risen in the forenoon, washes His lotus face with clean water and Himself chants the holy name of Sri Hari together with devotees devoted to such kirtana; who sports both in the homes of His devotees and in His own home, greatly increasing the joy of the townsfolk in many ways — upon that Gaura I meditate.
Verse 6
He who at midday performs sankirtana in this way together with His associates — indeed with Advaita, the moon-like Gadadhara, and the great avadhuta Nityananda Prabhu; who wanders remembering His own Vrndavana forest, in a garden cooled by gentle breezes and filled with the sounds of bees and birds — upon that Gaura I meditate.
Verse 7
He, the glorious one, who in the afternoon, filled with prema, together with such associates, spreads abundant well-being over the three worlds, then returns from the garden; who, the moon to the cakora-eyes of the townsfolk, is watched with joy by His mother at the door as He comes back to His own home — upon that Gaura I meditate.
Verse 8
He who in the evening bathes in the triple-streamed Ganga together with His dear associates, is worshiped with rows of lamps, flowers and other offerings, and wears fine garments and garlands; who at that time performs the worship of Lord Visnu together with those lamps, eats, and takes betel — upon that Gaura I meditate.
Verse 9
He who at dusk in Srivasa's house, together with Advaita-candra and all the devotees, relishes the nectar of talk of Hari; who, overwhelmed with the bliss of prema, His mind restless, addicted to sankirtana, strives eagerly to carry the kirtana further still — upon that Gaura I meditate.
Verse 10
He who, surrounded by His own associates in Srivasa's courtyard, together with the two Prabhus, dances and delights everyone as singers play loudly on cymbals and mrdanga; who, wandering about with Sri Gadadhara, shines wondrously at night, and then sleeps in His own resting place — upon that Gaura I meditate.
Verse 11
This set of ten verses, which illumines the pastimes arising in the eight periods of the day of the moon-like Sri Gauranga in His own abode of Navadvipa — pastimes to be meditated upon by the wise just as one remembers the pastimes of the moon of Gokula — whoever recites it with love, him He, out of causeless mercy, ever satisfies. Upon that Gaura I meditate.
