Madhava No Abicara Kula Rama

Verse 2

taikhane śyāmarī bheli
Verse 3
guru-jana abudha mugadha-mati parijana
alakhita biṣama beyādhi

locane lāgala samādhi
Verse 4
kṣaṇe kṣaṇe ańga bhańga tanu moḍa-i
kahata bharamamaya bāṇī
śyāmara nāme camaki tanu jhāmpa-i
gobinda-dāsa kiye jāni
Verse 1
O Madhava, I, a woman of respectable family, have received no fair judgment from you; weeping in secret day and night, again and again I dwell on your qualities.
Verse 2
The golden-fair one used to play in Vrindavana joined with her companions; but now your sweet glance, sweet as poison, has burned her body — since that moment she has grown dark and wasted.
Verse 3
The elders unaware, the family simple-minded and unaware, this fierce disease unrecognized — what can jewels, mantras, or great medicines do, when her very eyes have already fallen into a trance?
Verse 4
Moment by moment her limbs twist and her body writhes, speaking delirious words; at the name of Syama she startles and her body trembles — Govinda Dasa asks, what do I know of this?
