Verse 1
Behold, O friend, the youthful divine couple swinging together -- a sapphire set in gold, a matchless pair! Lalita and Vishakha happily swing them, both immersed in bliss as they gaze upon each other's faces.
Verse 2
Dense, dark clouds thunder in the sky; the playful companions gather round the swing on every side. Having fashioned the swing with all manner of flowers, the sakhis, lost in bliss, rock the divine couple back and forth.
Verse 3
The sakhis swing them, clapping their hands; the sweet-faced Radha says, "Be careful, my beloved, lest you fall!" Their garments slip loose, beads of sweat appear -- and it seems as though nectar streams down from their two moon-like faces.
Verse 4
Seeing the fatigue of the divine couple, all the sakhis take up camara fans to serve them; the bees and cuckoos, perched on the branches of the trees, call out "Radha-Krishna, Radha-Krishna" as the night passes. Jagannatha Dasa says: when will that blessed day come when I, together with the sakhis, will behold the two of them in the forest?
