Verse 1
A shining dark garland hangs at his throat, anklets ring at his feet; bees hover about the flowers in his crown, as he glances sideways with his eyes.
Verse 2
O friend, what did I see on the bank of the Kalindi -- that cunning lover, Krishna! O friend, I could not even return home; he has thrown my very life into turmoil.
Verse 3
The moon glimmers, peacock feathers wave atop his crown in the breeze; smiling gently, he plays his sweet flute, singing sweetly, so sweetly.
Verse 4
Overcome by the weight of rasa, his limbs can barely stay steady, so playfully does he lean against the kadamba tree; he plays with the very life of chaste, well-born young women.
Verse 5
Restless makara earrings sway at his ears, his garment fits him closely; his two feet are like red lotuses -- Govinda Dasa offers this as an arati of gazing upon him.
