yaḥ sāṅkhya-paṅkena kutarka-pāṁsunā
vivarta-gartena ca lupta-dīdhitim
śuddhaṁ vyadhād vāk-sudhayā maheśvaraṁ
kṛṣṇaṁ sa jīvaḥ prabhur astu me gatiḥ
Verse 1
The radiance of Kṛṣṇa, the supreme Lord, had been hidden by the mud of Sāṅkhya, the dust of false argument and the pit of the vivarta doctrine. With the nectar of his words Jīva made Him shine clean again. May that master, Jīva, be my refuge.
