Translation

Verse 1

Look, friends! Of all Hari's servants this hill is the finest. Thrilled by the touch of Rāma's and Kṛṣṇa's feet, it honours the two brothers and Their herds with water to drink, rich pasture, sheltering caves and roots to eat.

Verse 2

Glory to Govardhana, supreme ruler of all mountains, whom the gopīs called the best of Hari's servants. Kṛṣṇa, having stopped Indra's sacrifice, worshipped him Himself, and for seven days the hill rested on the palm of His lotus hand.
