radhe pathi munca bhuri sambhramam abhisare
caraya caranamburuhe dhiramsukumare
Verse 2
hanta na kim u mantharayasi santatam abhijalpam
danta-rocir antarayati santamasam analpam
Verse 3
santanu ghana-varnam atula-kuntala-nicayantam
dhvantamtava jivatu nakha-kantibhir abhisantam
Verse 4
sa sanatana-manasadya yanti gata-sankam
angi-kuru manju-kunja-vasater alam ankam
Verse 1
O Radhe, on this path to the tryst, set aside your great haste; move forward gently on your lotus feet, O tender one.
Verse 2
Alas, why do you not restrain your constant chatter? The very brightness of your teeth is dispelling the deep darkness around you.
Verse 3
May the darkness, dense and deep as the mass of your unrivaled hair, be softened by the glow of your fingernails, so that you may pass safely.
Verse 4
She, who forever holds his heart, walks on today free of fear; give yourself over completely to your welcome in this charming bower.
