mrgamada candana, kore kori sakhigana,
varisaye phula gandha raje
srama-jala bindu bindu, sobha kore mukha indu,
adhare murali nahi baje
Verse 2
hasya vilasa rasa, sarasa madhura bhasa,
narottama manoratha bhoru
duhuka vicitra vesa, kusuma racita kesa,
locana mohana lila koru
Verse 1
Preparing musk and sandalwood, the sakhis shower fragrant flowers upon them; drop by drop, beads of perspiration adorn Krishna's moon-like face — the flute does not play now on his lips.
Verse 2
Their laughter, their playful mellow mood, their sweet and juicy conversation — this alone is Narottama's heart's desire; the wondrous attire of both of them, their hair adorned with flowers, as they perform pastimes that enchant the eyes.
