Govinda Gopinatha! Krpa Kari Rakha Nijapade
Bhajan | Narottama Dasa Thakura
Verse 1
govinda gopīnātha! kṛpā kari rākha nijapade
kāma krodha chayajane laye phire nānāsthāne
viṣaya bhuñjāya nānāmate
Verse 2
haiyā māyāra dāsa kari nānā abhilāṣa
tomārā smaraṇa gela dūre
artha-lābha ei āśe kapāṭa vaiṣṇava beśe
bhramiye beḍai ghare ghare
Verse 3
aneka duḥkhera pare layechile vrajapure
kṛpāḍore galāya bāṅdhiyā
daiva-māyā balātkāre khasaiyā sei ḍore
bhavakūpe dileka ḍāriyā
Verse 4
punaḥ yadi kṛpā kari e-janāra keśe dhari
ṭaniyā tulaha vrajadhāme
tabe se dekhire bhāla natubā parāṇa gela
kahe dīna dāsa narottame
Verse 1
O Govinda! The beloved of the gopīs, please keep me at Your lotus feet. The six enemies such as lust, anger drag me to many places and make me enjoy sense objects in various ways.
Verse 2
Being a servant of Māyā, I am full of material desires, hence I lost Your remembrance. In order to gain wealth, I wander from door to door in the garb of a pseudo renunciate.
Verse 3
After a great deal of distress, You mercifully took me to Vraja. But Your illusory energy forcibly untied the rope of compassion and again placed me in the well of material existence.
Verse 4
Please again be merciful to this fallen person and pick me up to Your abode of Vraja by pulling my hair. This is the only hope of my life. Otherwise I am ruined. Thus prays Narottama dāsa.
