Verse 1
The mighty and glorious Rama, having gone to Ahobalam and offered obeisances to Sri Nrsimha, praised him, the husband of the goddess of fortune.
Verse 2
O Govinda, Keshava, Janardana, Vasudeva! O Lord of the universe, slayer of Madhu, form of the universe! O Sri Padmanabha, Purushottama, grant me your service! O Narayana, Achyuta, Nrisimha, obeisances, obeisances unto you!
Verse 3
All the demigods, the foremost of yogis, the Gandharvas, Vidyadharas, and Kinnaras constantly bow at whose lotus feet -- unto that Nrisimha I have taken shelter.
Verse 4
All the Vedas, the very womb of scripture, knowledge, strength, glorious fame, and fortune -- by whose grace men attain these -- unto that Nrisimha I have taken shelter.
Verse 5
You alone are Brahma, Shiva, and the Supreme Person; you are Narayana and the lord of the wind-gods; you are the moon, the sun, the wind, fire, and the host of Maruts -- to you alone I constantly bow.
Verse 6
Even in dream you are forever the creator, destroyer, and maintainer of this entire universe, all-pervading and knowable; you alone are the protector, though appearing in three distinct forms -- unto you, Nrisimha, I constantly bow.
Verse 7
Having thus praised him, the best of the Raghus worshipped Hari; at once a shower of flowers fell upon the head of that Lord.
Verse 8
This most excellent five-nectar hymn, composed by Raghava (Rama) -- those learned brahmanas who recite it attain eternal heaven.
