Our culture is that of various diversities and the same is evident in our traditions, including Kumbh as well.
This grand event occurs every 12 years, rotating among four sacred sites, each situated on a revered river.
Translating to 'Half Kumbh Mela,' this event occurs every 6 years exclusively at: Prayagraj (Allahabad) and Haridwar.
Also known as the 'Full Kumbh Mela,' it is synonymous with the regular 12-year Kumbh Mela, celebrated based on the aforementioned planetary positions at the respective locations.
The most monumental of all, the Maha Kumbh Mela is traditionally believed to occur after 144 years, following the completion of 12 Purna Kumbh Melas.
