Historical Foundation and Inspiration
The foundation for Gupt Vrindavan Dham was laid in 2009, with the participation of Sri Ashok Gehlot, former Chief Minister of Rajasthan, and HG Madhu Pandit Dasa, Chairman and Mentor of the Global Hare Krishna Movement. The center is inspired by and established in accordance with the vision of His Divine Grace Swami Srila Prabhupada, the Founder-Acharya of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON). This connection to Srila Prabhupada underscores the center's dedication to authentic spiritual teachings and practices.

Hare Krishna Movement's Gupt Vrindavan Dham
Gupt Vrindavan Dham is a part of the Hare Krishna Movement, also known as the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON). ISKCON was founded in 1966 by Srila Prabhupada. It is rooted in the Gaudiya Vaishnava Sampradaya of Eastern India and promotes world peace and unity through the teachings of Lord Krishna. Hare Krishna Movement has many centers worldwide including major centers, temples, and rural communities, as well as sattvik and vegetarian food restaurants, local meeting groups, and community projects.
Core Philosophy of Krishna Consciousness
The philosophy of Krishna Consciousness, central to ISKCON and Hare Krishna Movement, is based on the teachings of the Bhagavad-gita and Srimad Bhagavatam coming . Key philosophical aspects and teachings include:
- Reawakening love for God: The ultimate goal of life is to rekindle one's dormant love for Lord Krishna.
- Chanting the Maha-Mantra: Devotees chant the Hare Krishna Maha mantra (Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare/Hare Rama Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare) as a means to connect with the divine.

- Vegetarianism: To give up non-vegetarian food completely and stick to only vegetarian food and to close the slaughterhouses in which people are humiliating themselves by killing innumerable animals.
- Varnashrama Dharma: Establishment of Varnashrama Dharma tradition which includes simple living and high thinking living and observance of 4 Varnas and Ashramas.

- Food Distribution: Regular distribution of nutritious and delicious Prasadam to all the temple visitors including privileged people and students of Government schools. The temple through its own initiative Akshaya Patra Foundation in Schools is feeding 20 lakh students daily (on all school days).
